I keep hearing about Google Fiber coming to Atlanta, so as a resident, I was interested to see what they were offering. After doing some research, I learned Google doesn’t offer a feature like XFINITY’s X1DVR, and that’s a deal breaker for us.

- XFINITY allows for a change of scenery – once the weather warms up here in Atlanta, you know I’ll be outside trying to enjoy it! With X1 DVR, you can take your favorite recordings on the go to enjoy anywhere – you can’t do that with Google Fiber.
- Roommate hogging the TV? No worries – with X1 DVR, you can download your shows and watch them on your laptop, tablet or phone in another room. Don’t waste time waiting for the big screen and watch on your own!
- The X1 DVR allows for 500 GB of storage, meaning you’ve got tons of shows and movies at your fingertips after downloading.
With the final season of American Idol just beginning, I don’t want to miss a second. It’s two nights a week, though, and I have jam-packed evenings. I’m so happy that XFINITY will let me take American Idol with me to work to watch on my lunch breaks right in my office.
