Oktoberfest Dishes

Oktoberfest

Fall is here, and you know what that means: Oktoberfest! In fact, there is a large Oktoberfest celebration right here in Georgia in an amazing little town called Helen. The 45th Annual Oktoberfest is held each year from mid-September through November 1 – it’s the longest running festival held in the United States.

Helen Oktoberfest

Traditionally, Oktoberfest is celebrated in the weeks leading up to October, with the final day being the first Sunday in October. In the United States we often celebrate it in October, but no matter when you raise a glass, there’s plenty of Bavarian-influenced food to dig into.

Whether you like to participate in the festivities with a frothy beer or keep the party all-ages, here are a few selections to help you plan your polka party. Prost!
