Have you ever had a shot in your knee?  I have. Both knees and several times. I injured my knee and had surgery in 2001 and it’s been icky ever since. My doctor and I go way back and it usually goes something like this:

Me (in the exam room with the doctor and my husband): Are you sure I have to do this?

Doctor: No, you can just live with the pain if you want.

Husband: Oh no! You’re getting the shot. Give me your hand.

Doctor: OK, ready?

Me: No.

Doctor: OK. (as he proceeds to jab a needle the size of a giant nail into my knee.)

Me: (sounds and squeals that I can’t spell)

Husband: (same sounds resulting from me breaking all the bones in his hand – luckily we’re at the orthopedist.)

Doctor: (to husband because he “can’t talk to me when I get like this”): You know the drill…and call me if you need anything for that hand.

Me: Neither one of you love me. (more whining and dramatic hobbling out of the office.)

I would like to do something to avoid having to do that again and I know my husband (and doctor) would appreciate it. Oh top of all that, I’m not getting any younger.  I’m starting to set lines, things are sagging and other stuff just doesn’t feel as strong as it used to be. Collagen Type 2

Joint Relief Benefits that NeoCell’s Collagen Type 2 provides essential nutrients for complete joint support. As we age, the body’s ability to make the structural protein in cartilage tissue, Collagen Type 2, slows down. This is the protein needed to maintain and rebuild cartilage tissue. NOTE: Collagen Type 1&3 and Collagen Type 2 should not be combined due the types having different amino acid profiles. Get Walking!

After a brief chat with my doctor, I began taking the NeoCell joint health products. The Super Collagen + C (Type 1& 3) suggests three tablets twice per day and I used three each morning before eating anything. I also took one HA capsule each morning.  In the evenings, I had 4 of the Collagen Joint Complex (Type 2) with some orange juice, before dinner. It took a few days to get in the routine and I missed some doses along the way, but I really got in the swing of things after the first week or so.

Around the same time, I invested in a Fitbit to track how much I was walking each day. I thought hitting the recommended 10,000 steps per day would be a piece of cake, but oh man, I was completely wrong! For someone who works at a desk all day then at a computer all evening, I was lucky to hit 3,000 steps. I read that I had to get over 3,000 just to get out of the “sedentary lifestyle” category.  So, long story short, the main thing holding me back was my knee pain.  While taking the NeoCell supplements, I gradually began noticing less pain in my knee and in my back. It was probably three weeks before this happened, but it happened! I was also able to get my average steps per day up over 6,000.

I’m super proud of myself and really grateful to have been able to try NeoCell. It’s truly made a difference.
