Oh my goodness, if I’ve stepped on one Lego piece, I’ve stepped on 700. No matter how many yelps, stumbles and curses, though, there’s no denying the power of Lego. For that matter, there’s no denying Marvel and the movie with the coolest soundtrack ever, Guardians of the Galaxy!

This Lego Super Heroes set is the next toy on the “Aunt Tracy Checks it Out” list. I have a feeling I better wear shoes on Christmas morning – it’s probably not cool to curse on Jesus’ birthday, even if you step on a Lego.

Why the Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set Is a Smart Buy

Guardians of the Galaxy is an American film from 2014, based on Marvel Comics characters that form a superhero team of the same name. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios, the movie has grossed more than $450 million worldwide. Now that smash hit has appeared in the Lego form factor.

  • The Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set includes three of the main characters from the film – Rocket Raccoon, Sakaaran and Nebula. The appearance of the female villain Nebula, as well as the Groot superhero, are exclusive to this set.
  • Collectors of Disney memorabilia will consider this a must-buy just because of that exclusivity. And Marvel Comics collectors will want to add this movie-themed play set to their collection as well.

The package comes with 433 pieces, and includes a superhero action comic adventure. The detail is excellent, evidenced in such features as the trap door and exploding function, firing bazooka and catapult on the mining station.

Weapons included in this Lego building set include Rocket Raccoon’s space blaster, and the mining pod from the film is faithfully reproduced with a cockpit, fuel bombs and grabbing claws.

The mining station measures over 6 inches high and 8 inches wide. The mining pod in this kit is more than 2 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Groot’s mini figure stands a tall 5 inches.

Fans of the film will appreciate the ability to re-create Groot and Rocket Raccoon’s escape from Knowhere. And priced at less than 10 cents per piece, the Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set makes a smart buy for your wallet or pocketbook, and an enjoyable creative play set for your little Guardians!
