We try to eat seasonally and invest in foods that are at their peak during all times of the year. I can as much as possible for storage, but one of my pet peeves, is picking a bounty of fresh fruits and veggies out of the garden, or even spending a lot of money at the grocery store on produce, only to have to toss them a few days later.   I can never remember what goes in the refrigerator, what stays on the counter and what is safe to store together.  Check out these tips for storing fresh produce and extend the life of your investment…from apples to zucchini.

  1. This is great!! I hate it when we throw away food. We do too! Sometimes i forget what we have or my husband stuffs something in the back and I find it later. Great subject and thanks for the chart. Great way to plan! Rita Spratlen
