I am the proud mama of a sweet (mostly) dachshund. While his uncanny ability to get to the bottom of my yogurt cup should have tipped me off, I just didn’t equate his substantial sniffer to his food bowl.

There are so many choices when it comes to the shape and style of bowls for dogs. Did you know that most of these bowls unique designs are made for specific breed and dog shapes to make it easier for them to digest food?   (thanks to www.thatpetplace.com )

  1. Hello Tracy, Love this post! You must love your dachshund! You can see my doggies here:

My family had a dachshund named “Max” when I was growing up. I’d like to share a story about Max. It was a cold winter day, with snow on the ground. Our house had a storm door, and since the main door was open, you could easily see the outdoors through the glass on the storm door.

Max ran very fast towards the storm door, When he got fairly close and noticed what awaited him outside, he came to an abrupt skid, then fell flat on his back! (He did not get hurt, and we all had a roaring good laugh!)

    1. Your pups are fabulous! I just love their sweet little faces. We do love our doxie – Flash – and he’s quite the troublemaker – especially with two cats in the house, too! My brother-in-law works at a no-kill animal shelter and we promote adoption from shelters all the time. So happy to see that you do, as well. It’s so important.
