Marvel Studios announced this week that production has begun on Ant-Man and The Wasp, starring Paul Rudd (“Captain America: Civil War,”  “The Fundamentals of Caring”), Evangeline Lilly (“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” “Lost”),  Michael Peña (“The Martian,” Fury”) and Academy Award® winner Michael Douglas (“Behind the Candelabra,” “Wall Street”), who all return to the roles they originated in the 2015 box office hit “Ant-Man.” Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Dastmalchian also reprise their supporting roles.

The highly-anticipated follow-up welcomes Academy Award® nominees Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne, along with Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins, and Randall Park to the ensemble cast.

“Ant-Man” director Peyton Reed (“Yes Man,” “The Break-Up”) returns to helm Marvel Studios’ action-adventure from a screenplay by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari, and Paul Rudd. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

Marvel Studios’’ “Ant-Man and The Wasp” is produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.

What could be cooler than a combination of Disney characters and Marvel superheroes? The two entertainment powerhouses have come together for a full line of toys and games. And one video game system which includes physical toy components is the unique Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Starter Pack, version 2.0. Expanding your child’s imagination with toys that interactively create story lines on your television through all of the major gaming systems, this Disney – Marvel video game creation needs a closer look.

Key Features Of The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Starter Pack 2.0

* Kids 6 and up
* 3 characters included
* Includes Infinity base and video game
* Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U versions available
* Not to be confused with the Disney Infinity Starter Pack version 1.0

What Makes The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Starter Pack 2.0 a Smart Buy?

Disney originally released an Infinity starter pack with characters from Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles. That original Infinity interactive playset was so popular, they have released this second edition. Jack Sparrow, Sulley and Mr. Incredible from that first Infinity kit are compatible with this system, but only on the 2.0 base.

Here is how it works. When your child places one of the 3 included Marvel superheroes on the Infinity playing surface, that character appears on your TV display through your gaming system. This allows for interactive story creation with your children controlling their favorite Marvel characters.

Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow Marvel superhero characters are included. However, extra characters can be purchased. This allows your children to mix and match superheroes and movie characters, inventing whatever virtual universe their imagination can create.

Buyers of the original Disney Infinity system have noted that version 2.0 is a big upgrade in software. Your children have more customizing abilities with the characters. For instance, focusing on the different flight capabilities for Iron Man is a feature your kids will love.

You just set one of the characters onto the Infinity base and presto, he is on your TV screen. There are different pre-loaded environments on which your children can virtually control superheroes and movie characters. And with the ability to mix and match your children’s favorite heroes, there is really no limit to the game play scenarios which can be created.

Disney and Marvel collectors have definitely got to get their hands on the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Starter Pack 2.0. It also makes a smart purchase for parents of young Disney and Marvel fans. Compatible with Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox One and Wii U and available in a standard or collectors edition, this interactive video game is sure to be a hit with your kids.

Also available in the Disney Infinity series is the super cool Spider-Man play set and Guardians of the Galaxy.Disney Infinity

Aunt Tracy Checks it Out! Guardians of the Galaxy Lego Super Heroes “Knowhere Escape Mission” Review

Oh my goodness, if I’ve stepped on one Lego piece, I’ve stepped on 700. No matter how many yelps, stumbles and curses, though, there’s no denying the power of Lego. For that matter, there’s no denying Marvel and the movie with the coolest soundtrack ever, Guardians of the Galaxy!

This Lego Super Heroes set is the next toy on the “Aunt Tracy Checks it Out” list. I have a feeling I better wear shoes on Christmas morning – it’s probably not cool to curse on Jesus’ birthday, even if you step on a Lego.

Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set

The Lego toy company has been releasing hundreds of popular play sets since building their first interlocking toy bricks in 1949. Through 2013, the company estimates they have produced more than 560 billion Lego parts. And in recent years, full-length feature films starring popular superheroes and movie characters in Lego form have given a “must have” quality to the many play sets the company produces. The Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set contains over 400 pieces, so let’s get started building and see exactly what you can expect.

Key Elements of the Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set

* 433 pieces in all

* Recommended for children ages 6 and up

* Based on the popular Guardians of the Galaxy Movie

* Set comes complete with three mini-figures and assorted weapons

* Includes Nebula and Groot mini-figures which are exclusive to this set

Why the Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set Is a Smart Buy

Guardians of the Galaxy is an American film from 2014, based on Marvel Comics characters that form a superhero team of the same name. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios, the movie has grossed more than $450 million worldwide. Now that smash hit has appeared in the Lego form factor.

  • The Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set includes three of the main characters from the film – Rocket Raccoon, Sakaaran and Nebula. The appearance of the female villain Nebula, as well as the Groot superhero, are exclusive to this set.
  • Collectors of Disney memorabilia will consider this a must-buy just because of that exclusivity. And Marvel Comics collectors will want to add this movie-themed play set to their collection as well.

The package comes with 433 pieces, and includes a superhero action comic adventure. The detail is excellent, evidenced in such features as the trap door and exploding function, firing bazooka and catapult on the mining station.

Weapons included in this Lego building set include Rocket Raccoon’s space blaster, and the mining pod from the film is faithfully reproduced with a cockpit, fuel bombs and grabbing claws.

The mining station measures over 6 inches high and 8 inches wide. The mining pod in this kit is more than 2 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Groot’s mini figure stands a tall 5 inches.

Fans of the film will appreciate the ability to re-create Groot and Rocket Raccoon’s escape from Knowhere. And priced at less than 10 cents per piece, the Lego Superheroes 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Building Set makes a smart buy for your wallet or pocketbook, and an enjoyable creative play set for your little Guardians!

Also available in this Lego Super Heroes line of Guardians of the Galaxy sets are the LEGO Superheroes 76019 Starblaster Showdown Building Set and the LEGO Superheroes 76021 The Milano Spaceship Rescue Building Set .
