During the month of May, I will be traveling with my daughter!  That’s not going to stop the Nest, though. I’m so fortunate that my friend Adriana from Daily Dose of Design  has agreed to be a featured guest while I’m gone.  She’s a fabulous, energetic and creative designer who shares an amazing variety of fashion, interior, digital and graphic design on her blog. Be sure to visit and connect with her on social media (links at the end.) Daily Dose of Design is a blog you’ll want to read every day!

Here’s a great collection of books from Adriana that I know you’ll want to have with you no matter where the summer takes you!

On My Reading List

There are very few things I love more than beautiful weather, an empty to-do list and a good book to read. Especially during this time of year as the weather begins to warm up, I try and always have a book on my shelf that I plan on reading! Here’s a list of the books that are on my “to read” list:

Eklund.The Sell
The Sell by Fredrick Eklund

As a lover of Million Dollar Listing NY and all things real estate, taking some pointers from one of the best seems like a no brainer to me! This is the book I’m currently about to start reading – giving out Fredrick’s secrets to success!

Hawkins.The Girl on the Train
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

This bestseller was an amazing book! I just finished reading it and definitely recommend it. It’s a thriller and keeps you in suspense, making you never want to put it down which is what I love in a book! A definite must read!

W.Smith.The Homefront
Windsor Smith Homefront: Design for Modern Living by Windsor Smith

The fabulous Windsor Smith’s first book has me so excited! I’m a lover of interior design and I can’t wait to read this! Each chapter explains her style and how to achieve certain looks and how to pair different elements together.

Moriarty.The Husbands Secrets
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

The overview of this bestseller reads, ““Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive….” I bought this book and cannot wait to read – it seems like an intriguing drama, one of my favorite genres!

Kinsella.Shopaholic to the Stars

Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella

As part of a series that I find so fun to read, I’m super excited for this next installment! Another New York Times Bestseller is sure to keep you reading. Barnes & Noble’s overview reads: “Sophie Kinsella returns to her beloved Shopaholic series with Becky Brandon newly arrived in Hollywood and starry-eyed. She and her two-year-old daughter, Minnie, have relocated to L.A. to join Becky’s husband, Luke, who is there to handle PR for famous actress Sage Seymour. Becky can’t wait to start living the A-list lifestyle, complete with celebrity sightings, yoga retreats, and shopping trips to Rodeo Drive. But she really hopes to become a personal stylist—Sage’s personal stylist—if only Luke would set up an introduction. Then, unexpectedly, Becky is offered the chance to dress Sage’s archrival, and though things become a bit more complicated, it’s a dream come true! Red carpet premieres, velvet ropes, paparazzi clamoring for attention—suddenly Becky has everything she’s ever wanted. Or does she?” I’m super excited about this one!

During this time of year, I love picking books that are more fun, page turning books that I can finish within a few days. I love nothing more than sitting outside and getting through a good read in a few hours!

I either buy my books on my iPad or buy a hard copy – depending on the type of book and if I think I’ll use it again. For example, when I purchased Windsor Smith’s book, I bought a hard cover copy so I can use it for decoration! Doubling a good book as home décor is the equivalent of being in a candy store for me! Whichever way you read your books, these titles all caught my eye and are worth giving a read to!

Are there any books that have caught your eye lately? I’d love to hear about them!
