Food That Can Be Grown From ScrapsOne day while on the phone with my sister, we somehow got on the subject of green onions.  I don’t know how…it just happened.  She told me that she always has green onions growing in jars, ready to snip any time she needs them. Of course, the competitive sibling side of me decided at that moment that I, too, would grow green onions and something else.  After some research, I found that there are tons of things I could have been growing like that all this time. I’ve tossed so many of these scraps that it makes me sad. I had no idea it was so easy to regrow these foods (and yes, I know I should be composting at the very least!)

Well, I did indeed very easily grow those green onions and love how quickly they come up and keep regenerating no matter how many times they’re cut.  I think it’s a quite a little miracle. I also have a couple of avocado seeds going to town on my porch.

Thanks to the Healthy Hybrid, I am able to share the tutorials that I am using for various plants that you can regrow from the food you already have.
